Judgement Removal
Of all the listings that can sit on a credit profile, a court judgement is the heavyweight. It tells every lender that a creditor took you to court and won - and it keeps saying so for up to five years, throttling your access to finance long after the underlying debt may have been settled. Judgement removal is the process of making it stop.
Two Ways a Judgement Comes Off
Rescission is the active route: once the judgement debt is paid (or where the judgement was granted in error), an application is brought to have the court order rescinded. A rescinded judgement must be removed from your credit record - not merely marked as paid - which restores your profile immediately rather than in years. Expiry is the passive route: waiting out the listing period. Waiting costs nothing upfront, but five years of declined applications and premium interest rates carries its own steep price.
Paid the Debt? The Listing Should Reflect It
Here is what surprises most consumers: settling a judgement debt does not automatically clean your record. Bureau rules require paid-up civil judgements to be removed once proof of payment is lodged, yet the update frequently never happens unless someone chases it. Our team lodges the proof, drives the rescission where needed and confirms the change at Experian, TransUnion, Compuscan and XDS.
Part of a Bigger Clean-Up
Judgements rarely travel alone - defaults and garnishee or administration orders from the same rough patch usually sit alongside them. Our full ITC Clearance service sweeps the whole profile in one engagement, following the documented clearance process, and very old debts may have prescribed entirely - meaning they can no longer be enforced at all.
A judgement is a chapter in your credit history, not the closing sentence. Apply online and let us start the removal.
